I might be a little biased, but I think that’s one of the nicest V-Kings in existence.

This boat is somewhat of a twin to mine, though the stripes are a bit different. Those of you (mragu) that live near Amityville/Massapequa/Lindenhurst might remember this boat. T.Greene Marine located on South Ketcham Avenue in Amityville took delivery of this boat when it was new. As a matter of fact, it was actually featured on the very first site that I made for S&F.
Tom Greene had rigged this quickly with a ProMax 150, with no jackplate, and we both took this boat out to test it out. The boat had a factory polished SportMaster lower unit and all he had handy for a prop was a 4-blade Mercury Trophy, which worked fairly well. The boat had no speedometer in it at the time so I don't know how fast it was, but probably around 70 or so the way it was rigged. I have some photos of it during those rides on an old floppy disk (lol).
After having a little fun with it, the boat was moved to the old Seaford Marine gazebo in Massapequa (across from Takapausha Pond) where it sat on display for months with a price of $18,999 with the ProMax and $11,999 without. I remember wanting this boat so bad, but being in college at the time, that was impossible. I dreamed on though!
Here's that boat when Tom Greene first took delivery of it. Obviously he didn't have a proper trailer for it yet but he was smart enough to support the stern of the boat with that much overhang on the trailer.

plenty of members here suggest a bobs coned lower runs faster than a sporty on streams but your making me wonder about that now lol. Is a sporty faster running than a CLE? I thought the case was the same between those two? Also why a manual jack instead of hydraulic? Is it just a weight concern?

Bob's cone are slightly faster but the sporty housing is worry free of Bondo blowing off and are stronger imo. Cle cases don't really run that great at higher speeds, I had a cle on a viper and the best I got out of it was 89mph before it felt like the boat was going to spin out on me. Same setup but with a Bob's cone got me into the high 90s with ease and felt great. Jackplate is heavy and will eliminate the need of an extra pump also the current jackplate on the boat is old and has alot of flex points so the engine moves alot.
