T.Greene Marine located on South Ketcham Avenue in Amityville took delivery of this boat when it was new. As a matter of fact, it was actually featured on the very first site that I made for S&F.

Tom Greene had rigged this quickly with a ProMax 150, with no jackplate, and we both took this boat out to test it out. The boat had a factory polished SportMaster lower unit and all he had handy for a prop was a 4-blade Mercury Trophy, which worked fairly well. The boat had no speedometer in it at the time so I don't know how fast it was, but probably around 70 or so the way it was rigged. I have some photos of it during those rides on an old floppy disk (lol).

After having a little fun with it, the boat was moved to the old Seaford Marine gazebo in Massapequa (across from Takapausha Pond) where it sat on display for months with a price of $18,999 with the ProMax and $11,999 without. I remember wanting this boat so bad, but being in college at the time, that was impossible. I dreamed on though!

Here's that boat when Tom Greene first took delivery of it. Obviously he didn't have a proper trailer for it yet but he was smart enough to support the stern of the boat with that much overhang on the trailer.

Greg, I must be getting old as I don’t remember it ever being at Seaford Marine under the gazebo and I worked there. I guess now it’s called the good old days

Same setup but with a Bob's cone got me into the high 90s with ease and felt great. Jackplate is heavy and will eliminate the need of an extra pump also the current jackplate on the boat is old and has alot of flex points so the engine moves alot.
Solid first hand info, very much appreciated thanks. What prop is working best so far? What prop you think will get you past the century mark?

    I tried a 28et and 30 pro et. I'm guessing a 32 cleaver or 32 et will do it

That is a sweet boat! Very curious to see how you get it over 100. Same basic setup as mine. Viking with a stock 98 225PM. Although my rebuild is probably a little heavier.

30ET runs 94 on the limiter with my rig. 7/8" above the pad. I personally don't like how a cleaver rides on my boat. Planning on a 32ET still this season to see if I can get 100. Is that a stock motor?

Keep the cable steering, you will have less steering slop than hydraulic. 30 Hoss Triton you need to try.
