Need a new jack plate....Lavey 18'10" Mod VP

Running a 2.4L Merc. Currently have a 4" bracket and a 6" original style CMC hydraulic jack plate with the externally mounted pump. The motor died, so I grabbed a replacement from SEI, but after running the plate for about 2", something broke in the pump itself.

This thing is a dinosaur so I'll just buy something new.

This is the only configuration I've ever used on this boat...total of 10" of setback. Should I try and go more, less, same?

Any recommendations? Seastar, Bob's, Atlas, CMC, ???

I really like my Bob's jack plate on board pump is kind of large tuff mounting in my Hydrostream but works fast and strong.

if you are mid 80’s on a 2.4 and it’s handling great, I would not change a single thing. Any tweaks could be on your prop choice and final height.
