    Fuel issue

My mariner 150 runs great. But occasionally I will come off plane real quick and the motor will die. It takes a lot of choke to get it restarted. Obviously it isn't getting fuel but how come it has plenty of fuel when running fast and then starves when returning to idle? I tried giving it throttle when this happens and it just falls on its face. When I choke it, it will sneeze a few times then start up and run like normal. I rebuilt fuel pump over the winter and changed the filter. Lines are new and all carbs have been cleaned out. I have 2 tanks and it's done it with both.

I know from an automotive point of view I'm thinking float height from the issue I had with a Holley carb on my truck. But there's 3 carbs on the Mariner and I know I set float height when I had them apart.

Are you trimming the motor down before you cut the throttle?

Good question. I can't remember but I think so. Could a primer bulb do it? Mines a couple years old.

I was wondering if the combo of carbs tilted forward (trimmed up) and suddenly decelerating would slosh the fuel so far forward in the bowls that the main jet starves for fuel / draws air?
