Is this the boat? What lower unit is on your Promax? CLE or a Sportmaster or a Torquemaster?
Can you fix the water pressure by lowering the motor on the jackplate?

it has a stock 2.5 200 lower unit no torquemaster an i have lowered the motor to 5.5 below pad an get the same results when i get past about 1/4 trim mark im overheating an losing pressure from 15psi to around 8 psi then it will kick off a overheat alarm bring it back down an within 15 seconds it will cut off the alarm
an yes it is that boat style but not the same boatLast edited by myob75; 06-15-2022 at 03:09 PM.

5.5" below the pad should be deep enough for no water pressure worries at all. And perhaps 8 psi is enough anyway, but you can't ignore the overheat alarm. Is the water pump good?

I got nothing, except that I don’t think your overheating is a prop problem. Maybe you could start another post about overheating in the technical section
