That's wild, before 92 I lived in Maximo Moorings just north of there, I was never a fisherman but I would go clamming at Fort DeSoto park, even the big ones were good.

We're about 5 mins from Maximo amungst the St Petersburg Country Club area ( 100 x300 ) the water over there blows the east coast away, it's so clear they had the nerve to name a town " Clearwater " if this fuel deal continues, I could see myself fishing the pilings a few time a week

no , had to miss that one. WalMart drivers have been the highest paid in the industry for ever but believe me they earn it, 6 days a week, no life, but good bucks , who knows , may have to make the leap

The skyway is good fishing but you have to go when it’s not crowded to fish the good spots. Google skyway grouper those guys slay em. I fish and get bait under it and have caught lots of fish there. I’m out of longboat key. Water is real nice now.

Hey fun...I been in the bay and out by Ana Maria pass looking for tarpon last few days. The big poons are not here. Little poons at my dock at night. Fishing been tough for me. Very few snook, no reds. The bait is even scarce

If I’m not fishing on the bridge, I try to go to picnic island. Hit or miss there, but again that’s fishing 😂. Other than that, some of us try to charter a few times a year (we head to the middle-grounds) and we always seem to do well. This is in our blood, so if we find a long stick and a deep puddle, we would probably try fishing it 😂
