I chased dropping tach signals on my boat early this season. 225pm w/40 amp. Couldn't get VR's to last, went through everything a million times with same result. Finally pulled the insulation of part of my battery cable, lots of green corrosion. Swapped it, problems totally gone.

We survived again, completed and took the checkered flag for the second year in a row but it wasn't without issues.
We lost the fuel pump on our PM motor while testing on Fri and I think it was starting to quit while we were breaking in the motor.
Friday night we swapped to our backup motor and last year's finisher a stock 200 EE block with 46's and 38cc heads.
Sat morning, we were able to test a couple props an hour before the race.
Our new transom, setback and tunnel extensions seemed to carry our Rampage better.
We ran 80-84mph at about 6400 rpm's depending on fuel weight and conditions.
I lost an ear off our 29 mazco about halfway into the last leg. Lost about 20 mins limping back to change the prop.
We finished 3rd with 46 laps, 2nd/47 laps, 1st/48 laps. 3rd in class and 9th overall.
Had a great time again with my Pop's being the crew chief and family and friends there
    to support.
Will post some Gopro footage in a couple days, I hope.

Congrats on finishing one heckuva race! Maybe it's just the angle, but that dark area about 1/2 way up the blade kinda looks like it had been cracked for a bit?

Good eye, it had Kevin's name stamped on it. 29x14 1/4 and hoped it would run around 6700 on our PM. It did have about 1" of a bad spot. Probably cracked and fixed by someone.
I initially thought the motor let go. First time I've thrown a blade. Hub was shot too.

Last time I threw a blade, I could only tell when I let off. It dropped some MPH for the RPM, but no vibration until I let off and got below 90, then I could feel the vibration. Worse as I went slower.

What are you going to do with the remnants?
