Oh Lord, some comments are priceless. Some are only willing to spend their money on "The Golden Ark", but those who grew up with a Gambler GT-206 Super Sport and now want to find an original one in great condition, well then this example is certainly more than interesting, especially since the asking price is less than a new Sea-Doo.

I owned one, a VERY nice one, with a MINT trailer, and have a friend who also owned a VERY nice one, I know the problems these boats had, and what a realistic price is, if you like it so much go buy it.

If someone in the Forum is asking about this model for feedback I certainly would like to see comments by previous owners like you and your pal. However to question a sellers 'or best offer price' in their classified ad is simply uncalled for. Get busy in the General Boating Discussion section and share your in depth knowledge about Gambler Boats, but leave this seller's ad alone. This is a nice looking boat, I bet it runs well and could make someone a happy owner.

I'm not a buyer but personally I think the Gambler SS is a great looking boat. How they integrated the swim steps with the motor pod is very well executed, I like the fairing instead of a windshield and the stripes they put in the gel still looks good today. The side by side front seat is definitely unique and not many SOBs have a sun pad.

research before you post, look at previous posts on these boats, the good, the bad, and the ugly truth about them. I have posted my knowledge on these hulls, as has Gambler Chris, there is a SEARCH button, maybe use that before you jump to conclusions. I hope the seller can get close to his asking price, but I seriously doubt it. If he sells it maybe he'll share that info - time will tell.

Totally agree with both of You fellows' statements! Now if any prospective buyer saw this ad, they better do their own research and then find Your specboatops and Gambler Chris experience with these boats. I personally have had Cal Kustom boats, like Stoker and Schiada for lake use, and then mainly offshore race boats, so this Gambler or say American high performance bass boats is not my gebiet, but I'm curious about their running surface, and that's why I got into Allison Boats.

I applaud Your warning to potential buyers of what to expect when buying and running one of these, so all I wanted to communicate was that asking prices are pretty irrelevant, when most boats changes hands, unless the seller totally misrepresents one specific boat, or unknow brand and model, and that a comment to a boat seller's ad of an unusual boat might be left to a reference to the fact that additional knowledge exists on Scream & Fly, and that it's worth looking into by hitting search, and gather info on several forums, doing a sea trial etc., before getting too trigger happy.

Happy boating specboatops & skydog, and I assume, Thank You very much for Your service. Cheers, Lars.
