I used to race BMX in the 80's. Had some cool bikes back then but unfortunately didnt keep any. Did pick up a 86 or so Redline years back that I still have. Will post some pics tonight.

Still have my Hutch 24" cruiser, flight cranks, dx pedals, gt bars, redline stem. Have a set of original gen 1 graphite tuff wheels with the gold campy hubs. Sold a few things off over the years, JMC bars, Hutch titanium hubs and pedals. Held on to most of it. Still have my Apple Krate. Just went through it couple years ago, that one lives in the house now, wife loves that! Have a King Sting 5 speed, Mini PK Ripper, Mini Sting, my kids were riding these at raysmtb.com If you have never heard of Rays, check it out, it's worth a look!
Sold the Skater, missing it everyday

I have gotten to where I take pictures and flip my phone upside down, sideways, etc just to resolve this.
Paul have you tried opening the pics in MS Paint and saving them as jpg or png files? I would think that would solve the problem.

Try saving one of them through MS paint and see if that works.

I rode for many years, had a chrome diamond back with blue Skyway tuff 2's, a Haro Freestyler with Araya 36's then upgraded to 48's, had a full chrome Bully Piston Street with chrome chain (only BMX with twin v-brakes, front forks were pretty cool) and bought a full chrome Haro Sport Re-issue when they came out a few years ago, black Skyways on it too. My knees are wrecked, so I sold the Bully and the Haro I still owned and bought a Norco Wolverine 15" mountain bike. Gone through 2 sets of tires (dry rot) and haven't even ridden it yet lol...

A lot of cool stuff going on here. It seems alot of people were into CW bars. I've always ran the CW's on my GT Pro and my 87 Mach One, especially now being older they keep me more upright because they're so tall.
I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about anyone having Ukia rims or Maxy Cross cranks on their bikes. I did see a couple mentions of guys owning a Hutch. They were always the nicest bikes. Never saw them to much as they were more expensive so most parents settled for the other brands.
The earlier bikes were cool to. I see people had/have the Sting Rays, Applecrates and other various Schwinns. They're worth quite a bit of money now. I have a blue Sting Ray with the shifter on the top tube. The thing weighs a ton. My buddy borrows it when he takes his 68 Charger to car shows. He parks the bike in front of the car. It's funny how much attention it draws when he does that.

I have a big problem with my post timing out. There's been MANY times I went to post or reply to one and I guess I took to long. I go to hit post and it comes up I'm sighed out but shows me signed in. It's a bummer when it happens because I have to rush every time I post which sometimes results in grade school spelling.

The bmx scene took form, function, and strength to levels of focus or even fixation to such extremes for most of us. I had already owned dirt bikes and snowmobiles but there was nothing even close to influencing my passion for peak performance parts than the bmx craze. I can remember endless debates on what part was better and why right down to minute things like the seat post clamp lol.

I still have scars on my shins from those bear trap pedals lol

I ran Odyssey triple traps on all my early bikes, and wore hammer 2 shin pads. I can still feel the scar tissue 25 years later lol

You simply could not have put it any better. We used to spend endless hours building tracks with shovels and they would turn out almost pro level and then endless hours maintaining them. There's a group of about 8 of us that get together here and there, ride for a bit then just BS. I keep my bikes the same but just like the early days these guys are endlessly changing out parts. All these old school bmx parts cost a fortune to.
There's also a lot of shows and swaps around the state I go to also. It's great seeing easily 100+ bikes all lined up.
