    1999 150 mercury efi timing

I’m going to check timing on my motor. I want to run 87 octane fuel. From what I understand I should set it to 19 degrees max. Does the efi have the timing module that people talk about unhooking so it doesn’t retard timing after 5600? Thanks

You should unhook the white/black stripe from module to your switchboxes before timing. Factory spec 20° at cranking speed.
Make sure you don't have one of these or it changes the ball game.Click image for larger version.
