I appreciate the input from each of you. Ran the boat yesterday with a 24P Merc chopper turned 5800 rpm at WOT. So....looks like I'm looking for about 24P......

Chopper worked alright with a 150hp on mine, just wasn't as fast. Don't think I would want to run it any faster than the 74mph it would pull. Ran a dah worked 28p big ear till I ran over a tuner bolt and cracked a blade. Kinda sounds like that Yamaha might be mounted a bit low if it's on a LTV and only will pull 24p.

Thanks for the input...yes the motor can still come up a bit...will need to add nose-cone with LWP before I can go higher. Recommendations on where I can send me lower to have it done?

I did mine myself, but Bob's machine shop does a good job. You could also do a transom mount pickup. You just have to be careful when beaching your boat with one.
