Mercury 2.5 EFI 260 oil mixture

Hello, this season a put 2 Mercury 2.5 EFI 260 in place of twin 2.4 EFI bridgeport. Last year i raced with the 2.4 and make oil mixture at 3% and run at 6900 RPM, with family in daily use 2% and never had problems. With the 2.5 can i make the same oil mixture? I usually run 4/5000 RPM with my family, but full gas in Race mode 😅

Agree and use good gas. We also used aces for extra insurance, they tend to blow up on us

280's are 40:1, but the 260's call for 32:1. If you aren't turning it hard might get away with 40:1 but why take a chance? These motors are expensive to repair/rebuild!

Just run 32/1. There’s no reason not to run the richer oil mix. I don’t understand why people want to skimp on oil
