    1989 Mercury 175 WH Carbs

Hello, going through getting this new to me engine running and got the carbs cleaned and trying to find specs on what jet sizes are proper for these carbs.

The stamping on them only has WH on the top of them and the jet sizing seems a bit odd to me.

I have it wrote down on a piece of paper in the shop but I think the idle jets were all .070 and all of the main jets are .064 to .066. Also there is no vent jets which I have read most just run these motors without the vent jets.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and also I know that cylinders 2 & 5 can run lean and would like to adjust accordingly for that oilier has been deleted and so has the advance and idle stabilizer box.

WH-34 is the carbs for the 175 hp I believe. Included a chart out of the manual but looks as if all your jetting is stockClick image for larger version.

Thank you for the info it is greatly appreciated as my manual doesn't really designate which HP motor goes with which carbs etc. I have several different carbs laying around and also a spare 2.0 powerhead on the shelf.

Those numbers I wrote on the page came from the first column on the left hand side of the chart, right after (TOP, MIDDLE, BOTTOM) They are there but in small print so I guess I wrote in in larger numbers for easier reference. This chart came out of a 1989 V6 overhaul manual from Mercury. If anyone wants a better picture of the chart I will print a better copy as this one didn't turn out the clearest.

If you have the manual in PDF format or digitally I would love to have it.

I can share my email with you in a private message.
