    300X cooling issue

I have a twin 300x setup. (fresh water only boat)

Starboard motor warms up and idles around 110 /120, runs 120/130 in no wake zone, and is at 140 /160 when running.

Port motor has developed an issue.
warms up at 120/140. runs 140 /160 in no wake zone. and 160 / 190 when running at speed.

both motors have the same water pressure at idle and when running hard.
And both are peeing strong out the side.
    impellers were recently replaced.

I thought it may just be a problem with the thermostats.
Replace both with new ones and did not change the problem.

Anyone have any insight on what may be wrong???

Mine read about the same spread confirmed with temperature gun the motors were the same. Then I just always knew one showed hotter then the other. Then I went with smart craft and showed they were the same on there. They have two sending units for the motor one digital one analog. The analog ones do not screw into the head but have a hold down clip.Try swapping them in the motor and or the wires between the gauges. Might just be that.

    Thanks kct11,
I will try swapping the gages next time I take the boat out.

Never would of thought a simple analog temp gage would go bad.

It could be one or the other. So if you swap the guages and it's the same, then swap the sending units.

The one with brown black wires above the digital one(you posted the digital above). That's if you have a later 300x
