I have a dash mounted tach and a tach on my timing light (divide by 2 because it's for 4 stroke). I am waiting on new idle air jets.

Have you fixed your idle timing yet?
As mentioned on page one ,17° is not going to work.

Mercury tach works by way of pole count under the flywheel, not number of cylinders.

Not yet. Hopefully today or tomorrow I will install the new air jets. The tach is set correctly and I verified with another one.

I installed the smaller idle air jets and now I'm idling at 800rpm in neutral. I rechecked for vacuum leaks and I may have a little one on the bottom of the manifold. I'm going to recheck that within the next few days. My plan after that is to get it on the lake for the first time this year, and for the first time since all the mods. I will see how the main jetting is. I'm hoping it will be close. All other people here with modded 2.0s and wh22s are running 74-76 jets. But my boat is a deep vee around 2000lbs so I don't wanna start too lean. My max timing is at 23 degrees currently.

Don't run it until you fix the vacuum leak.

What size idle jets did you install.
74's @ 23° should be fine but you should check your plugs for peace of mind

I double checked for vacuum leaks. Couldn't find any. I will take it out and check my plugs after running.
