Hello everyone i will be deleting the oil injection on my 200 merc 1987mdl and need to know from people who have done this
1-what preemix ratio will be best, 2- will any carby jetting or adjustments be required, 3-will i need to change the ignition timing? the comps on my powerhead are all130psi , also i would like to know if there are any modifications i can do to make it sound and run quicker? any help would be great thank you

No carb jetting changes for oil injection.
No timing changes, just get rid of the stabilizer module and set the timing per the manual.
Lots of things make those motors quicker...it depends on how much time and money you wanna spend.

If your running over 6500 to 7k for extended time 40:1, much over 7500 best go 32:1.

I just recently removed oil injection, alarm module, and idle stabilizer on my 1984 150 black max. I researched many Scream & Fly posts, all combined in my description. Follow the link and see step 15

Thank you and there’s one thing bothering me about removing the black box on port side as there is 5 or 6 wires coming out of it so what do you do with those wires ? I know everyone says get rid of the black box but do you remove the wires from cdi box and throw the black box out with all wires or do some wires need be joined somewhere?? My engine is 1997 200 black max, so far I’ve been given great information that’s helping me out but I’m very cautious about removing wiring as I don’t want cause anything to fry?

Search "black boxes" and you'll find what to do. The only main thing to keep in mind is that there will need to be a "bias" wire connecting the two switchboxes on the Starboard side. It might already be there. If not, it has to have it when you ditch the boxes. I think it's white w/ black by memory.
