Trailer Side Platform Replacement Material Question
My Trailer has 12" wide carpet covered walking platforms on each side about 7' long that I am going to replace as the original plywood is getting a little soft. My question is what material is better as I will be re carpeting them, using standard 3/4" pine boards coated with proper water proof sealer or going back to the original 1/2" (I assume) plywood.

3/4” PT plywood.
cut, fit, sand, break all the edges then give em 2 or 3 coats of PT end grain treatment before you wrap em with carpet.
use SS or ACQ fasteners and make sure the trailer contact points are well painted…..PT chemicals are hard on steel
……or just use regular spruce / pine lumber. Don’t try to seal it, it’ll just rot from the inside. The regular stuff will probably last longer then the carpet anyway.
