Show your DIY exhaust snouts

There are some posts on here about the perils of doing that... everything from the cardboard down will probably end up on the bottom of tbe lake.
Let's just go ahead and make America great again!

Yea i heared those stories, but since i dont have very high performance boat and will not go faster then 90kmh i doubt that will happen. You mean because of the strenght the mid loses if you drill in it right?
Lots of people drilled their mid and put a bobs exhaust over it. (im sorry im immune to good advise :P )
So i want to see how some people made their own exhaust.

If I'm not mistaken there's a fellow on here , I forget his name ,but looks similar to rj pic. H see can take a bass mid and make it real close to offshore mid
Chapman maybe??

From an aesthetics point of view, make the sharp corners of your cardboard assembly into radii that are the same radius as the other features on the mid. That way it looks original. Right now, the radius is 1/16" or so, shoot for 1/4" or 1/2" until it looks right. This may be an obvious statement but it's all I have to add so I said it.

Out of curiosity, does this help performance enough to justify? I have a the skill, and means to do this, just wondering if it will make a difference, or just more noise. My wife likes it quiet, but I'd like it faster

No performance difference like fuji said , also. With a modified bass can with snout , is prob 50% louder than a offshore mid
The offshore mid has lots more metal /thicker , so all sound actually comes out of the snout which sounds great , but a bass mid is thin and with can removed alone is loud, and add a snout it's really loud , and the noise kinda comes out everywhere if that makes any sense. Offshore mid , sound comes out of rear (snout ) and is actually quiter when the snout is buried under water until it surfaces , the 2 sound nothin alike. Just fyi
