    Agreed.

    I always found it interesting on a car, (and similar on a boat) how drastic of an effect weight has on ET but not top speed.

    The Bonneville guys will make an improvement to their car that adds 100’s of lbs to the car but increases speed big time.

    Yrs ago, one night when I couldn’t sleep, while reading a Motor Trend list of car tests, I figured out a formula of HP Vs Lbs to establish 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile times.
    Comparing to their tests it was spot on.

    Then I think I went back to bed.
    I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.


    I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
