    Total refurbish of Allison trailer

I just finished a total redo of the original single axle trailer that came with my '86 Allison XTB. I have been repurposing the XTB for a couple years, while enjoying it on the river and lake, but the trailer was mehhhh. Son gave me a set of American Torq Thrust mags wrapped with new tires for my b'day, so I had the impetus to redo the whole deal. Wire brushed the entire trailer with a knotted wire wheel on my 4" sidegrinder, then "painted" the whole trailer with black Herculiner. My son has a trailer for his STV that had recently been done with it and I liked the look a lot. New LED lights, repainting of all the parts that didn't need to have Herculiner on them (winch, axle, hubs, etc.), cleaned and polished all the diamond plate, new pressure treated wood for the bunks wrapped with new grey indoor/outdoor carpet ......... all chipped in to make it look like an almost new trailer.

Really pleased with how it turned out. If anyone is interested in pics let me know and I will snap a few and put them up here. Did it all myself with a total outlay of not much over $400 (excluding the new wheels and tires which were a gift).

I'd be interested in seeing some photos, AlliStan, if the offer still stands. Thinking about re-doing mine (low-profile Ellis) at some point so I'm collecting ideas from other DIY guys like yourself.
