If the Rotax / Can-Am guys were still there, I have no doubt that they could build some really good lookin motors that made a bunch of reliable power. He11, they might not have went out of business ..
At 700 HP / 3.4L .. err .. 207.48 ci .. 3.38/inch is askin a lot.
Super gee-whammy tune-up. Big bore stuff can only "tolerate" just so much timing before it starts soundin like my wife drivin up the Palm City bridge .. knock, knock, rattle, rattle ..
How clean can you get a 2-stroke .. ??? Stoichiometric (14.7) Aint happenin ..
And I can't see the sea-doo people .. ehh , spending a bunch of time and effort on a two stroke that needed to be @ 12.5 / 1 to make best use of the fuel load , from their death bed. Great story though ..

There are rumors of the F-1 car guys looking at 2 stroke.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

The porting arrangements on single/inline and opposed motors are not the same as stacked v motors so i'm not sure you can just roll the hp numbers up with extra cylinders. On the G2 Brp tried to balance the flow by arranging the exhaust on the same sides but on the other hand did not cant the cylinders down and that put the transfers back to back and that made the runners very flat, the 2 rear ports are big and the exhaust ports are nice but the stacks are kinda narrow. I am sure a dedicated race two stroke 6 or 8cyl would make enormous power and like Gary said F1 is looking that way and if they do we will finally see what a 2 Stroke is capable of.. If this g2 ph did exist i cant believe no one has pics and why would they care if they were posted.

Just read a great, in depth article on 2 strokes in one of my vintage bike mags.
From beginning to bow.
Currently two mfg building DI 2 stroke dirt bikes that pass regs.
I forget which tier though….
Unfortunately the biggest one is only 300cc’s but open the bores and start stacking them!
The article left it open to the future…I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

They more than likely couldn't twist the cylinder because of some patent law infringement. Both side could have came up with some really bad-azz motors if they spent more time at the drawing board than in court .. no , that's my idea, you cant use it.
If they had such a fetish for court rooms, they should have spent their time in there telling the EPA to **** off. The end result is some dumpy lookin porkchops selling for twice what they are worth.
Gator .. KTM is still building 2-stroke dirt bikes.
They could "stack" 2-stroke cylinders, but with properly sized and shaped transfers, it would make a porky look like shrimphead ..

Well that big test facility went bankrupt and when it did took every one by surprise because with out telling any one they locked it up they were ready to test Formula 1 Engine 3 years of rd in making it at a reputable shop in Arizona made the engine for Evinrude racing so it was told to me it made 600 + Hp buy the Man who built it and now seems Mercury was behind it to squish the competition after all mercury‘s DFI was Evinrude‘s old motor I knew that at OMC School back in 1994 but they Decided not to bring to production sad Evinrude was a very clean motor . You can check it out no production outboard is as clean or has ever been as clean for the power to wt that they make .. but I do love the raw horsepower of a simple carbureted 3.3 with V8 carbs so it smokes at start up a little that’s why I use DFI oil !!
