No expert here, but Mavic was the gold standard starting out. Looks like they are in it for the long haul. I'm more of a plane, heli guy, but drone's look like a awesome photo platform.

I picked up a dji3 standard on black Friday a couple years ago. It flies well, super forgiving and tales good pics/video. Als9 has return home feature that brings it back to where it took off when it launched if the battery gets low or loses signal. Since it is an older model now bu several versions you can probably get one cheap to learn on.

The new Mavic at the standard, get something with obstacle avoidance. The FPV are really cool, but kind of specialized. that Mavic 2 or 3 are easy to use and take great shots.

Mavic mini, or Mavic pro II - both have everything you need, as long as you stay out of sport mode it will have the obstacle avoidance.
