The chain is a blast summer or winter. Summer boats, winter snowmobiling. That white cat is an early 90s 24' Thunderboat and if I'm not mistaken it was owned by Karl Haas of Rohm & Haas plastics

Hey Joe P,

No sled trails here. Local hot sled guys are out today on the lake ice trying to out dumb each other. Only 1 Bar open on the lake with limited hours.

Baker Marine hosted that. The owner Ron Baker retired and moved to Florida. I was part of another club called Northern Illinois Offshore Club that hosted runs on the Chain as well for the last 20 years. It is a lot of work and expense (insurance, etc) to do these events such as Firewater.
