    A few toys of mine

I raced RC boats when I was a kid and recently got back into the hobby to give me a stress reliever. I grew up on nitro, but now have a mix of both nitro an electric. Bought an old 70's Crapshooter on Ebay and completely stripped it down to bare wood and rebuilt it. Then picked up another outrigger from Ebay that was an old nitro hull and converted it to electric. Also have a little Revolt thats crazy fast mono hull.

The Hobby got out of hand quick once the Covid crap started up, and well I got into everything from planes, jets, RC drag, and my favorite... Helicopters

    Mike,

I have a 60" replica of a 46' Skater with a weed wacker motor in it. Bottom line is when I bought it, I told the guy I wanted the best radio we could buy "I was thinking for (receiver range)". He got me this crazy thing with brakes and all kinds of extensive setting which I don't need, want, or understand. I need something with max range and basic "set it and for get it". Let me know and if you are interested in having me drop it off and I will pay you to simplify things.

I have been thinking more and more about building a boat. Good friend bought a property on a lake and he has been messing with it and it does look like fun. It also looks like it could easily be as addictive as building the real ones. At my age I am sure it would be much safer. Someone on this site has the RC STV molds. Would like to build one for each of my previously owned STVs and paint match. Would be a neat collection.

Can you tell me which transmitter it is? A lot of these newer ones are far too complicated. But along with that comes what you were looking for, which is crazy far range.

They are a blast to take out and run, which definitely makes it easy to get carried away with and before you know it, you have a collection.

I can relate to you with the collection of models. Started with off road cars, then planes, then choppers, then boats. If nobody has seen a cp heli run. Go over to you tube and search 3d helicopter and prepare to have your mind blown.

I would recommend to anybody wanting to go fast in a real one. To get a model first. It will open your eyes to how fast things can go wrong. After wrecking a bunch of model boats. I don't want to be in a real one when it happens.
