I don't think a nitro lower ever came on a 56ci motor except SST 60 but shift rod height on 15' motors was 16-13/32 plus or minus 1/32
Hope this helps
Enjoy life Keith

If I remember correctly, the base plate from the 56 is 1/4" thicker, unless it was moded or if its a custom plate. Keep this in mind if you use the measurement Keith gave you.

Not sure about your question but I use what ever works. As for keeping that Nitro healthy, I don't shift mine while the motor is running, at least when running a solid hub prop.
