Sig is making some pretty hi tech scopes and rangefinders. Not thermal but a little more reasonably priced. I bought a sig rangefinder last year. Has a ballistic calculator built in. Also bluetooth compatible with your phone so you can program all your rifles in and add weather variables to your shooting solution.

I am still using glass. I do have an older Leopold range finder that works well.... And my long range scopes have moa reticles and have the bullet drop sticker on the back side of the flip up cover of the eyepiece.

I don't mind spending the extra money on good optics. The scope on my 22 swift cost over $2K.

I bought an older 700 Sendero in .270 I am fixing to set up, scope and load development.

Only top quality glass I have is a used Leupold Mark 4 2.5-10x50 ilum. scope with standard milldot ret. I have it on a early 90's Win. model 70 w/BOSS in .30-06. Nice scope though.
I do need a scope for my 24" 6.5 Grendel upper and my 16" 6.5 Grendel upper. Thinking about a 4-16 and a 1-8 then put the 4-16 on the model 70, the Mark 4 on the 24" Grendel upper and a 1-8 on the 16" Grendel upper. Probably go with Vortex Viper HTS or something similar.

I built, did not make. Tactical Solutions barrel, billet receiver, Kidd trigger group. I had to hand fit the barrel to the receiver and put it together...

    Nice collection! Love bolt guns!

I spent some time in my neighbor's gunsmith shop before he passed on. He wasn't afraid to get a little wild with some of his projects. That's where my 6.5wsm came from.
What is your rifle pictured on the far right? Almost looks like a browning t-bolt. The checkering looks a little different than my dad's, that he traded for a browning autoloader. I could of cried when he made that trade. I shot a lot of squirrels and grouse with that gun.

Very nice FC, what a shame you lost all those in a boating accident.

Far right is a Kimber .22 WMR. It has rare scope made for the .22 WMR with drop, etc set up ready to go.

SB, 4 generations. My grandfather's far left, the Weatherby my father's, and the SS 1022 is my son's. The 1022 next to that belonged to my uncle.

Oh, all but the Weatherby, the old Remington bolt, and my custom 1022 have custom triggers set at 3.5 pounds or less.
