You just half answered your question! The reason is. Trigger magnets aren't all created equal.

How did you like that pc-7? Thick enough in florida heat?

Exactly! I'm still learning a lot about these outboards for sure. And on these things, safe is way better than sorry, so double checking is a must. The pc-7 worked awesome, it made that repair quick and easy. I've had it out a few times since with no issue.

Always tinkering with something, added some exhaust relief to the motor. I've always wanted on of these mids, they look and sound badass.

Looks great! Is that a real ridge back or a snout you added on there? If you added it you did a slick install job, its convincing to my eye

Thanks! Definitely not a real one, after searching for one and seeing the prices I just couldn't do it. Calhoun Marine made this mid, they did a really nice job making it look original.

Sent my prop out for a clean up and balancing and WOW what a performance difference. Takes way less trim now. Went ahead and molded in a torque tab to the skeg as well, which also made a HUGE improvement in steering and control.

Had some nice weather yesterday with almost no wind. Not sure why the date is incorrect on the GPS, but this 150hp feels dialed in and honestly surprised me.

Indeed thats a great number for a 150 imo. What rpm is that again? Prop pitch? Lower ratio?

I bet that a 30p will slow it down. I would not change that prop! Once in a while you hit the perfect combo. Your porting is working for you at the higher r's.

Nice running. If you try a 30 find a small ear chopper as the big ear chopper may be too much to swing. Slip seems high at 13-15 depending on pitch and RPM, but running well. Lots of work into this one and it shows

I did finish up my new motor this weekend. So Right when I have this setup dialed in, I'm gonna toss a bit more power at it lol.
