Saved another ol tractor
As some of yall know. I deliver propane and see lots of stuff in folks yards and I often leave notes for items im intrested in. Well I saw this tractor in the weeds and left a offer of $400. A few weeks later after some negotiations I winches it up onto my trailer for $800.

I love the ol Internationals. Have owned three of them with my favorite being the 300 Utility. The 300 is also the only one I have left and it has a Wagner end loader/back hoe attachment. Done a ton of work with that little thing.

This was my 706. Fresh motor and good rubber. I installed the cab that I got from a neighbor. Used a radiator for a heater core which worked great. I had the 9' blade (pictured), a 9' snow blower, and a log splitter that ran off pto. Talked to another neighbor a few days ago and she wants me to get her two tractors that are sitting in a barn running and have not been touched for a long time. I know her father has been gone for at least ten years. One is an International and the other a Deere. I will probably buy the International. Like boats wasn't enough of an addiction.

An old "sidewinder" is what we called them. My great uncle had one, but the body work was rounded and it was red... and it was OLD!!!
Great score!!! Looks like it is in great shape to be sitting out in the weather like that! You really have to abuse or use the hell out of those to wear them out.

I put it to the test yesterday. It's got it's fair share of problems. Winch is rusted up. Has a either addiction on cold starts etc etc. My brother has a couple timberjacks with screaming Jimmy's. Made a lot of money skidding trees with them. You neighbor's know it when you fire one up, even a mile away. Ear plug worthy.
I definitely need a bigger garage!!
