tack wireing
hi guys i have twinn merc 1993 200s v6 and 1 tack is bad so i noticed the 2 of them are tied together with jumper wires gray to gray and black to black so is this normal or a past mistake it seems like this would be to much voltage on both thanks for advice

Grey wire is signal. They should be separate.

...that's "one" way to synchronize twin outboards...thats pretty funny that someone wired them that way......

Redsnapper got lucky.
He knows his tach is bad and its probably not his voltage regulator.
