28' Skater 1.75 34 Dewalds 6100 107mph-people and fuel
20' LCB 1.60 34 Merc CNC 5 blade 6100 111 mph-people and fuel same weight but a 30 Drag 5 6400 100 mph. We are waiting to test some Max 5s, a smaller CNC, and MAD EFI 4 blade thru hubs.
Its all a puzzle for each boat. The new 5 blade thru hub Dewalds picked up 5 mph on my friends 28 skater Vs the 4 blade over hubs.
Propeller technology is where you need to invest for best new speed returns.

Seein's how you can only twist and bend an ear, just so many ways before you run out of "technology". The old adage of : torque x rpm / 5252 = HP will get ya to the next 5 mph and the 5 after that ... and so on

Those charts are obviously based on a certain amount of slip, which can vary drastically from one hull/setup/prop design to the other. There’s many ways and a myriad of props that can get you there, IF your boat is capable of running that speed.
So far, I’ve been to ~100mph with a 24 Yamaha, 22 Tillman and a 20P Ronnie Gilbert, all with a 1.78;1 ratio, at anywhere from ~8750-10,000+rpm. I’m seeing slip numbers vary from 6.5% (yeah, I’m not kidding) to 9% between those props depending on how low my motor is set (between 3/8 - 3/4” above the pad, so I’m thinking I need a little more height...)
Those numbers were taken from an AiM Datalogger, BTW, so the mph is GPS measured, not conjecture.
Pretty sure I could get 120+ with the right cleaver on it . But I’m more into ET than MPH. Long WOT running is simply too damn hard on hard to get parts, IMV.
So far, those are my 100mph props. She gets there fairly quick too…
