    Question Foot and hand throttle???

Seems I remember ... Maybe Land and Sea made one?

Working on my XTB 21 and was toying with the idea of having both. It would be nice to be able to lock the throttle at 55 mph or slower.

Only way I can see it really working is to run the control box cable around to the back of the foot throttle with a stop on it.

Land and Sea made one and I bought it. The hand throttle was difficult to use to adjust speed but could easily be used to maintain a constant speed. At least that’s how mine was

I fooled around making a cable junction block (plastic sliding block in rect aluminum tube) that would left either control work independently but never finished it.

Let's just go ahead and make America great again!

ID:	498564We have both available on our new LCBs. Hand throttle is more for docking, and is switchable by button from foot throttle.

I was going to do this as well. Seems the L&S deal has some safety concerns that shyd my away from that option. Tnels has some European deal that looked really nice. Not sure what came of it.

im going to run two cables and switch them around at the motor when I want one or the other. Can’t see any other easy and safe way to go about this

What about a Cable box for both cables to go to and a lock out for the foot pedal when you dont want to allow it to operate. Or a cable box that you can swap between foot and hand cables but mount it close to the foot and hand control. Would allow one cable to run to the engine, two shorter cables at the controls. Looking for a plant to do this to the 24 super I recently picked up.

DTS makes it easy so long as you use the top mount hand control. They don’t make a harness that works with zero effort and foot throttle.

I have a mechanical 250 ProXS (too cheap to retrofit DTS when I repowered) and I used this to terminate the cables from the livorsi hand control and a SeaStar Pro foot control (1000 time better than the hot foot) then fed a single throttle cable to the motor. Works very well as long as you use the best, low friction cables.

There was another thread on this topic and FlaBum (RIP) mentioned those dual-station kits as a good solution. If I can find it I'll post a link.

Paul I have one in the BAJA, Land&Sea wanted you to use the good 33c cables to reduce friction and have no tight bends. The hand throttle is stiff even with the good cables, but the "Cruise Control" feature is nice. I always use the foot throttle unless cruising at one speed or water skiing. They come up for sale used at times, I have the install instructions if you find one.

Go to the Nitra boats web site and look around. They have a dual Foot/Hand throttle they may offer to the US.

Are the new 4 strokes throttle by wire? It would seem to make dual controls easier. Just curious as I have no plans for a 4 stroke and would be surprised if Mr Crazy had a 4 stroke.
