Awlcraft 2000. I hear it’s pretty forgiving for amateurs like me.

Hello,
I recently joined Scream & Fly & have posted several times with pictures of a 18' Action. Under the heading: Out of hibernation sleeping for 14 years
Haven't started on her yet in the process of gathering information for several areas. First off I'll be checking the integrity of the transom. But beyond that it has no floor but does have some sub structures. Wondering if what's there is all there is? Looking to gather as much structural information as I can.
Thanks, Ron

I don’t believe the Actions have core so that is one step that saves a lot of headaches and time.

Here is the rebuild thread of my hull by AFR, back in 2009. It was rebuilt using composites (no wood) and is as strong today as it was back then.

Old skool that paint looks fantastic! My supplier pushed hard for me to use similar paint but i was determined to do the hull in gel. All i can say is what a pile of work gel is, i kind of wish i chose paint because id be done already. Looks great

Thanks LakeFever! I got the cap done this past week and ground the flaking paint off the floor in prep for painting the interior. I don’t think I’ve ever been as “fiberglass prickly”, as I was this past Saturday night! I keep telling myself, “do a little bit each day and it will get done”.
Here are some pics of where we stand, and motor mocked up in my house …..
