If they are stock (38CC's) They seem to be, they will also work on a 225PM.

only gray heads i know of are from a 225 promax 789 -C3 were on my original 225 Promax in 95 i bought it new (i know of )

Bobby, That gold tint could be CRC/666 protective coating or my eyes....

Either way they look be a nice clean unmolested set of heads that could be used in multiple applications. GLWS

Tony they look gray on my pc , but if gold they are from a 260 or 245 and if uncut ( they look unmolested ) they are 36 CC i have three sets one is gray, one is gold one is painted black not positive how they got painted but i do have, i these and all are 36cc merc did all sorts of stuff also have gray heads in 488 c3 and 488 c4 as im slowy getting rid of the stuff i came across some XR6 lower internals the 178 version might be enough to build one if i had a good case but have seen one in several years now

Bobby, I agree they are Grey with protection coating which give them the Gold tint. If my mind is still in place....LOL

245/260 and 225PM 18789C3's were 38CC's. The early 245/260 did have the Gold alodine color with the ridges, no the torque number sequence like those.
I have cleaned and have cut many into the 36/34CC range.
Do know Mercury has done many crazy things.
As some machinist cut decks after sleeving etc because it was easier to give a client/customer a clean looking deck but forgot to tell them...

well i just came in from the shop and looking at the few sets of heads i have left and im now more then ever convinced on two things i can no longer trust at 76 years old , a fart and my memory these heads are a combination of 787's and 789's so since i cant see either a long with everthing else please forget what i just posted cuz some of it aint so
