Social media liability law suits?

Anyone else catch this?

Ive only caught parts of the TV adds twice.

Appears to be the beginning of a class action suit against facetrash, tweeter etc.

Seen on late night TV and appears to be a poorly funded, hence, late night, ambulance chaser type ad.
Like the ones for Roundup etc.

Then it dawned on me, Jack Dorsey just stepped down from tweeter, facetrash just changed its name, ****erburg is backing away from the helm, etc, etc.

facetrash is now running continuous tv ads promoting their efforts in equal content (BS!) deletion, showing how fair they really are (!!!) and their support of provision 2300 (I think) which monitors social media control.
IMO, the latter to prevent another facetrash competitor.

What do you guys think?
W/this latest Mi school shooting, is a day of reckoning finally coming for these slime balls???

Of all the whacked out young people that think facetrash is real life, I’d think it’d be fertile ground for law suits.

I personally think sm is the cause of a large part of our issues today. Spread of misinformation, directed censorship, platform for abuse, and the list goes on. Sounded like a good idea but like everything else it gets used for unintended purposes. Trumps mean tweets get banned but death threats slip under the radar. Makes no sense and I think the platforms should be accountable. We have too many loopholes and the founders should still be liable whether they back out now or 6 years from now.

Personally; I think all of the SM companies realize that when the Republicans take over the House & Senate in 10 months... Section 230 protection is going to be eliminated for them.

Seeing Biden/Harris tanking poll numbers and democrat retirements, they must realize they have no one that can save them... so they're making a play for "superficial" revisions now, on their terms.

That is a common practice. Happens all the time. I've gotten fact checked for a joke, meme, etc. I use it as a news source and to keep up with some friends.

You wouldn't honestly expect people who don't use Facebook to know what's wrong with it, would you? I have never been censored or banned by Facebook, but only because I don't use it.

And then what? You want the state to have a say in what private companies will and won't allow? I would presume you feel a baker should be forced to make a cake for a gay wedding, yes? See how slippery slopes work? Over the years, I traveled extensively for work, always brought my motorcycle and mountain bike. FB was a great way to find groups of like minded people, unlike many on FB, I actually used it to meet people, and make friends, not taunt and piss off strangers, then whine for being banned. If you've been banned from a social media site, you should be looking inward. Therein lies the problem.
