Yep.......I remember this photo.....knew at one time it had Evinrude power and an aft cowling.

Sammamish Slough Race............point to point race between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish based on elapsed time. A race where you could see roostertails darting thru what appeared to be grass fields in Kenmore WA. Race was dominated by stock outboards until OPC tunnels appeared in the early 70's. OPCs smashed the ET records. Race was a locasl tradition for many years until racers became targets of rocks and bottles thrown from the crowd on the banks and dredging of the slough was stopped.

Back when we had many famous marathons around the country.
