Sammamish Slough Race............point to point race between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish based on elapsed time. A race where you could see roostertails darting thru what appeared to be grass fields in Kenmore WA. Race was dominated by stock outboards until OPC tunnels appeared in the early 70's. OPCs smashed the ET records. Race was a locasl tradition for many years until racers became targets of rocks and bottles thrown from the crowd on the banks and dredging of the slough was stopped.

Love the pics. Like to know more about Ron Delrosa who built them in Antioch CA. What kind of boats did he build, is he still alive / where? thanks
