    Propeller Collection Storage Ideas

Like many of you on S&F, I’ve accumulated quite a prop collection over the years and I need to get them stored better. How is everyone storing their props? Shelves? Pegs on the wall? Mine are currently laid out on one flat shelf and are vulnerable to falls and banging together. Gotta be a better way to store these expensive things. Thanks for any suggestions (and pictures, if possible).

All mine are boxed and on a shelf. Not much to look at but they are all kept clean and safe from getting banged up.

I have a bunch of these (intended for and marketed as "ball holders"). They are made by rubbermaid and sold as an accessory for their fast track storage systems. The top rail mount gets screwed into your header and there are lots of hook choices from there. The two rubber bands do a great job of securing them.

...best way is simply in their original prop boxes, on heavy duty storage shelving. if out of the box, another way is on a vertically mounted rod or steel tube about 5' tall, like this, or the height you choose.

Joe, you have too many props!

iIve made the mistake of selling off the collection a couple times.
It’s always harder and more $$ to restock it.

Im simple and a tight wad so this works great for me.

Next to nothing to build and takes 10 mins.
Can mount the 2 x 4’s end to end, stacked or both.

A few 3” drywall screws into studs and youre done.
    Easy to move too.

I look at props as jewelry to guys like us, so I like see mine ; )

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I have a set up like Instigator but I use a 4x4 stood vertical and bearing weight on the garage floor. Then drive in each of your lag's at an angle and slide each prop over them.

Guys, you have some good ideas and a nice prop collection. I have about 7 fishing props I keep on a shelf in the shop.

Oh crap, my wife set up an alias on S&F. Haha. Just kidding JBS. Sounds like one of her comments though.

I have over 100 and keep a couple of racks in my office for the nice stuff. Dewalds, Herings, and Merc cnc stuff adds up quickly. The good thing about propellers is that they are easy to sell "kind of like guns, you can't have too many" and you can turn them to cash in heartbeat. The bad side of my stuff is that the new gear cases require new diameters and most of mine are too small as I continue to grow the four stroke fleet.
