    Bore and sleeve 2.0L into 2.5L?

    2.0 motors were a steel casted part in the sandcast when alunimum was poured in to make the block
    2.0 was done this way from the beginning in the late 70s till 2.5 castings of the 90s
    not a slid in round steel sleeve like a 2.5 sleeve of the 90s
    also only has small boost ports casted ,,,hp 2.0s back then had milled in fingers not behind liner like 2.5
    only 2.0 made with all the behind the liner 2.5 goodies was the early 90s 2.0 bridgeport formula 1 motor
    gaylen burden did do us a very few 2.0 bridgeport 2.0s he bored and put in 2.5 sleeves
    so has a 2.5 bridgeport motor and was a beast for unlimited drags,,,,
    production block wise just getting a 2.5 ff block and doing some portwork and cavity work is way less work
    and more power over the small intake charge the 2.0 had being enlarged

    Great info thanks. I’m still learning about plenty about these motors but I have a couple 2.0L motors and I got to wondering and now I need not wonder a moment longer

    2.0..... bullet proff........no piston slop..... lasts for years,,, hone an go.....ya want power.... 2.5...dun rite......15 years and countin'......smmoth the ports.....I get sooo tired of tryin' to tell......... ben' buildin' for years.....why don't listen?....Ya don't know MePhifft

    Hey Chaz, .22 shells make good fuse replacements in a pinch.

    If it is the motor Steve Cleinmark had that work was done by Jim Ruck Bill just put it together when it was hurt Gohr has it Resleeved by his block Machinist
