The Lockheed Martin X-59 QueSST is an American experimental supersonic aircraft being developed at Skunk Works for NASA's Low-Boom Flight.

Later to be developed into a viable commercial passenger aircraft.

If the aerodynamic data is correct, this aircraft will be able to fly over land (coast to coast) in half the time of current commercial airlines. Without the loud sonic boom, that is preventing flights over Mach I from going overland coast to coast.

That helps boaters to get home sooner, and enjoy more time on the water instead of boring travel in the air.

Hey I like planes too, but if the cost is similar to the old Concorde to fly on, there is zero chance I will ever get the fly on one. So all these are is cool, nothing more.
