    V8 - Expansion chambers

    Hi - Has anyone done this to create 8 ports for fitting expansion chambers other than this one done by Rude in Sweden.

    I think he is The only one that tried that . But I question the rigidness of the block being it seems too take out supporting internals That keep it from splitting apart it was a internal web of block

    If you look closely you will see the "gusset" that is provided by the semi-circular cut in the remains of the block.
    The "bolt in exhaust manifold" appears to be .500 or .625 thick. Bolted to the base along the centerline and up the sides to just below the deck. That alone would be enough , but then you have steel tubes forming an X which forms a triangle between them and the base .. LOL It's ain't goin no where ..

    Google "Rudezon" for content on the Evinrude V8 in the Volvo Amazon. The Swedes building it were on facebook under that name. I know they got it driving but don't know how well it worked as a drag car.

    I don't recall seeing details of the intake other than it coming up from underneath and out the front with two large throttle bodies.
