Cut Mid?
Ok. Time straighten out the cut 15" vs the factory 15" debate. I am strongly considering sending my 20" off to Marty Powell this winter so I have a 15 for next year. A factory 15 is out of the question for me at the moment due to funds. Opinions? To dangerous?

I had mine done by Calhoun Marine in Elloree SC. Very happy with it. If I recall correctly it was about $1,600. Had my shaft cut by black magic racing in VA. He can cut the shaft without removing from the case.

Marty cut my mid fifteen years ago - not one issue. Paint still looks good. You have a standard 20” or an offshore? My opinion is the standard mid is pretty thin, but an old 20” ridgeback will be rock solid after the cut.
