    92 Fountain salvage auction

This is kinda tempting depending on how cheap it would go for. No idea what engines it has in it or the extent of the damage other than the missing out drives. Never mind the fact I couldn't afford to put fuel in it haha.

And this thing would be exactly that haha. I'll keep an eye on it and try to see what it sells for, out of curiosity.

Does the core, transom, and floors rot out in old offshore boats? That could be a huge job.

Unless you have motors and drives sitting around that is a huge money pit even if you have the ability to do everything at your shop.

interior - I was quoted 8k to redo all the bolsters, benches and sunpad.
Steering looks partially there, so $1k?
No drives, has bravo assemblies, so lets say anywhere from 3-5k each for bravo's
500 HP Merc motors are in the $10-15k each range
    Previously mentioned potential fiberglass work.....

Little stuff, props, gauges, cables, odds and end rigging......

I bet whatever you get it for you will need to put at least another $20-30k sourcing used parts and doing the work yourself to get it back on the water. That doesn't include refurbishing/rebuilding any of those used parts.

My guess anyway. I watch a lot of off shore rebuilds in some facebook groups and man, big sterndrive boats are money pits.

I had two of these boats, one new and one in excellent used condition. Looks to be the Reggie Fountain signature edition, maybe 35'. Very nice boat when new, sad to see it in this condition. A lot of money to maintain when in new condition, this one would cost a fortune to get it right. Extremely nice ride though.

Oh it's a complete money pit, I have no plans to buy it to be clear haha. I wouldn't rule out the engines being in there. Knowing this company/site with the drives missing they might just say there's no engines. Kinda one of those thats fun to dream about.

I dumped over 20k into my Hydrostream build, this thing would make that look like pocket change

Part what ever is left of sterndrive stuff and throw some fishing motors on it......well, if you can build a hell of a bracket or remove swim platform, above my skillset.

...comparable horsepower range outboards to the new 502 magnum packages would be twin new mercury 450's at $54,000 to $64,000 each, depending on gearcases & other items. alot more $$ to bolt them to that boat to go zoombie... (at least its not a step hull, right...?...more headaches)
