1976 1500xsk info
I just picked up a 1976 1500 xs. I have the serial number. It has the low water pickup. I was told it is a Hobart lower unit. It's been very long since I had anything to do with outboards and I am not familiar with that. The motor has been stored inside for 15+ years. The flywheel turns by hand and so does the prop shaft. I will be replacing the harness. If anyone has any info on that type lower unit, please share it with me. Also any comments on bringing an old one back to life are also welcomed. This motor is going on a 1965 flat bottom Allison craft that I am also bringing back to life. Thanks!!
