    1985 120 Looper vs 140

I am trying to determine what the differences might be between a 1985 120 Looper and a 140. Only thing I see in the parts catalog are the carbs being different. Am I missing anything else?

Yes I think the 1.8 120 has smaller inlets and carbs, then they were all the same on 2.0 versions and it was the reeds and inlets only

Yours are 5 over 5, get 140 inlets and add the reeds common to 140 all v6 and most v8's
EDIT sorry, in 85 the 140 had shims under reed stops and same inlet, later went 5 over 5 with different inlet.
I would pull yours to check and fit some new ccm reeds to suit what you are doing with it.

Per the BRP website, its as a i suspected and is the same as the 200/225 V-6 loopers.

    Carbs only.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
