    Powerhead Shipping

Hey guys what shipping contractor is everyone using to ship a powerhead. Looking at shipping a 2.5 fully dressed from AZ to FL. I see most eBay sellers use UPS. Rate looks like it’s around 174$. Freight not open on weekends and trying to get answers. I’m assuming it Needs to be in a box, but not sure if has to be in pallet. Seller was going to build a wooden box roughly the size of the powerhead and pack is securely. Any tips or info???

Go to u-ship.com get 7 or 8 quotes. Needs to be in a nice crate. No pallet needed.

Fastenal has been my go to lately. Go to web site click on "logistics". I have used them often without any issues.

Be careful Uship doesnt back their insurance. Paid in full for damage insurance. They destroyed a shipping crate and damaged a motor, after putting in a claim they denied it, Then gave back the money paid for insurance.
It is now in the hands of an Attorney.

Watch out for any insurance through a broker! Read the fine print as they usually will only cover new.

goship.com is a good one for quotes and I used them and no issues. Just make sure to pick a good carrier as the broker don't care at all, they just get their cut.
