The work combines thousands of data points from tree rings, lake and ocean sediments, corals and stalagmites, among other features, and extends the time frame for radiocarbon dating back to 55,000 years ago — 5,000 years further than the last calibration update in 2013.
Archaeologists are downright giddy. “Maybe I've been in lockdown too long,” tweeted Nicholas Sutton, an archaeologist at the University of Otago in New Zealand, “but … I'm really excited about it!”

$8.50 a gallon x 60 gallons = $510.00 to go out for a day on the average high performance boat .

I have always been amused by radiocarbon dating.
I am very sure that it is accurate.
The "Climate Change Believers" are willing to accept :
The conditions on earth today were exactly the same as when the sample died.
The amount of Carbon isotopes were in the same ratios as today's.
It surely does not take much faith to accept they were in hysteresis for supposedly millions of years.
The " CC Believers" do not believe that before Noah's escape, it had never rained before, which suggests a much different atmosphere.
The "Ambient Believers" chose not to believe Noah and decided to go for the "Eternal Swim".
