1985 22’ velocity project
Selling 1985 22’ velocity outboard. I completely gutted boat. Replaced wet core at transom. Replaced transom, stringers, fuel tank and floor. Deleted splash well. Boat is currently in primer. Built it for class 7 Racing so it’s built strong. All 3/4 marine grade plywood for transom and stringers, floor is 1/2 marine plywood. All glass is 1708 and west systems epoxy resin. Floor was lowered around an inch. New 60 gallon aluminum fuel tank. I have a lot of the stuff to rig the boat. No steering and no motor. I have stainless marine 6” and 12” setbacks that were stripped and powder coated. Stainless marine gorilla hydro jack plate that was stripped and powder coated. Brand new n control foot throttle and shifter, full livorsi monster gauges 5” tach, gps Speedo, water pressure, water temp, fuel level, volts, and trim, livorsi high speed recall switch, billet kill switch. Billet switch panel, blinker style trim switches. Billet oil tank bracket and battery bracket. Gem lux pull up cleats. Billet rigging tube flanges. Random billet parts. Steering hoses. Trim hoses. Trim pumps and I’m sure I am missing stuff. Sits on a 2014 aluminum bunk trailer that I bought new and it’s never seen water. Boat has been sitting in my yard shrink wrapped since 2014. I have rub rails. Windshield(front is solid, sides are broken) interior but needs to be redone and most of the hardware I removed. Has cockpit cover and engine cover that are in good shape. I do not need to sell the boat just don’t see myself getting to finish it any time soon and if it doesn’t sell I will finish it when I can. I am asking 8k$ for every thing. Which is wayyy less than I have into it, if you have ever rebuilt a boat you will know. I will sell it whole or just hull. Or hull trailer but hull has to sell first. Located in Ipswich ma.

...the original two longitudinal stringers and multiple small triangular tranverse stringers, and everything thing else plywood in the 1985 22 was 1/2'' a/c plywood. everything, floors, etc., you name it. its the only plywood thickness that came into the shop & that was used in building ALL the velocity's then, even the 38. the minor amount of additional weight you incured by using 3/4'' ply for the two main stringers can easily be made up for, when you remake all the upholstery by utilizing PVC board for everything, which everyone is using for interiors these days due to its superiority over plyrot & light weight, etc. what a nice boat this could be for someone when finished & a great performer. velocity won three consecutive offshore national championships back then in B class. two with 22's & one with a light 30' that was built. bill kaye out of chicago was his name..."captain maintained"...

It made it to Minnesota. Everything is as described, and nice work on everything you did so far.
Its going to be a cool boat whenever I can make time to complete it.
Thanks
