Raker prop to fit a V6 Mercury

I've got a raker prop with a Mercury hub in it. Problem is after I put the thrust washers, lock washer and the nut on there's not enough room for the lock nut to go all the way down. What do I need to do?

I had the same issue- and found what was called a "thin elastic jam nut" which was a bit less than half the thickness of the factory prop nut. Worked great...

OMC .... HeeHee.... made their props hard to fit on a Merc but Merc easy too fit on their motors. I cut 1/4 inch off the front barrel of OMC raker still short on nut engagement. The prop barrel is too long.Charie Strang.

    Thinner thrust washer.

Should go one w/a stock hub too.

Merc wont go on OMC w/o drilling splines out of hub but opposite is true.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
