    200 EFI 2.5 value?

I have a 200 EFI 2.5 that was rebuilt by WinTech last winter all stock. Ran break in this summer with limited use. Its a 1997 with a 20 inch leg and stock small shaft lower unit. Runs great. I just got done re mounting my 225 pro max. What is the 200 worth? Is it worth sitting on as a quieter spare?

Depending on what you do it could be a real good idea to keep as a spare. They are worthy motors in comparison to a stock promax.

I would say a complete 200 2.5 in good shape would sell for $4500 in my area. Now there will always be low ballers, and people who think they are worth WAY more than that. But that is the average price I would say.

I'd like to have one but I don't think it would bring as much in FL as CA unless it looked almost new. The operative words here are "good shape". I've seen "rebuilt" motors that look like they have 9000 hours on them. Most don't want something ragged on the back of their go-fast boats

this is a nice clean fresh water outboard. always a Wisconsin outboard. It was rebuilt when I bought it, number one had over heated. But the sleeve was installed improperly, So it scored the piston and I had WinTech redo it right, form looking at it, its never been beat. My pro max is also very clean, Looks like a new outboard. WinTech also rebuilt that, I kept the oil injection, so its stock ish.
