fixing up a hydrolift
Hi folks
I'm in need of some advice on changing the floor, stringers and probably the transom on my Hydrolift R20. I've never done fiberglass repairs before and I know this is gonna be a challenging project, but I'm hoping with this forums help and guidance I can make a boat out of it.
How would you go about it?
Would I need a jig so the hull won't deform? And how would I make a jig for it? I'm a welder by trade so I'm not completely useless with my hands, i just need some help on how much support the hull needs to stay in shape and how much can be done with the cribs i've made already.
I've read that some go about it one stringer at a time so the hull have some structural integrity, is this the procedure you would recommend?
There's a really good thread on this forum about a restoration of a hydrolift T20 which is basically the same boat, and I've learned a lot from that thread, but there's nothing about how he supported the hull before cutting the stringers and floor out.
Hopefully I managed to upload pictures of the boat and the cribs which it stands on

I changed out everything from top to bottom and front to back. Extra strong transom and an extra pair of knees. I’ll send you a link.
