Brucato when looking at live data on the program
I have an old PCU that runs an engine very very rich. I hook it up to the program and look at live data and the manifold pressure is 1198 units. Not sure what that reads are exactly, but I think 80 units is equal to one inch of mercury. The fuel curve graph only goes up to 980 so I think the map sensor is reading very very rich and that is why it will not properly run an engine with it.
Anyone know what their box reads with the motor off for manifold pressure?
thanks

ok, so your just about 1002 units of manifold pressure before you start the engine. Mine is at 1198 on this pcu that someone replaced the MAP sensor on. I wonder if the map sensor is not the correct one or something as the motor is so very rich it is hard to keep it running on the trailer.

If they did not go through the trubble of getting the correct sensor that would most likely be the cause!
Might want to send it to brucato
They can also update the software to make use of the excel program

Brucato will not touch it and I am able to program it, it takes the curves just fine, just doesn't read manifold pressure correct it seems. Anyone know where to get a map sensor for one of these?

Digikey, mouser, farnell!
you probably have a 100kpa sensor now but is a bit of a crap shoot this way

I am wondering how the sensors are made for what bars of pressure? I see alot of 3 and 4 bar sensors but I think a brucato goes up to 12-13 bars of pressure.

Hmmm. MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure. I do have someone at Brucato trying to find out but I am not sure they will tell me!
